自考英语专业本科在英语专业四级，非英语专业专业六级的程度范围。
自考成绩不好来衡量，因为到外边还是认证书，不会要求单独看成绩的，自考英语只有个成绩单，所以最好还是能考个证书就考个，反正能力水平是一样的，过了自考也就能过级了。
专四专八社会人员不能报考。自考是没有办法报专八的。只能考虑一下剑桥之类的了。
